Today we reviewed the places that we can visit in our community of Martindale, our city of Calgary and our province of Alberta.  We also reviewed some of the things that are special about Canada (ie.  animals, coins, clothing, sports, people, etc.)  

Parents - Please ask your son / daughter to tell you what they have learned about Martindale, Calgary, Alberta and Canada.

We completed our sixth spelling test today.  Our spelling books and a new word list for next week's spelling homework will come home tomorrow.

We went to library today so your son / daughter should be bringing home a new library book to read with you this evening.     

Reminder:  Don't forget to practice your Home Reading tonight and return your book tomorrow so that you can have a new Home Reading book for the weekend!

Below is the booklet that we read and completed today.  

Parents -- have your child practice reading "My Snowman Book".  Talk about building a snowman and what your son / daughter would use to complete his / her snowman.
