Welcome to our first week of May !!
We completed our seventeenth spelling test today which continued to include a total of eight words -- six words from this week's list plus two "mystery" words from previous spelling lists. Our spelling books and a new word list for next week's spelling homework will come home tomorrow.
We have big news in our classroom today!
Two baby ducks have arrived to spend the next few weeks with us.
This week we will be observing these beautiful little animals.
Next week we will be reading, researching, writing and measuring ducks!
If you have any information or books at home that you would like to bring in about ducks we would be happy to receive it.
We began the afternoon by naming one of the ducks.
We brainstormed as a group and finally voted on the following three choices:
Flipper, Daisy, Speedy
We decided on Speedy!
We also tried to measure his height but he wouldn't stand still!!
