Please fill out the forms that have been sent home and return them with $10.00.

We completed our twelfth spelling test today. This week our spelling test included a total of eight words -- six words from this week's list plus two "mystery" words from previous spelling lists. This will help us assess whether students are retaining what they have learned. Our spelling books and a new word list for next week's spelling homework will come home tomorrow.

Today we reviewed our five senses by making popcorn!
Then we read, organized, cut and pasted the following sentences.

Parents -- please have your son / daughter read the story below:

When  we  popped  the  popcorn  we  used  all  five  senses!

First  we  heard  each  kernel  make  a  popping  noise.

We  saw  the  round  kernels  explode  into  puffy  shapes.

Then  we  began  to  smell  a  delicious scent coming from the popcorn.

When we picked up each piece to eat it, it felt hot!

It tasted delicious!

Aroush and The Computer

Aroush wanted to play on the computer.

Her mom said, "No. You have to do your chores first."

First Aroush washed the dishes.

Next she washed the windows.

Then Aroush had to walk the dog.

Finally she was finished. Aroush played a Barbie game on the computer.

We also did a story about using our senses (sound, smell, touch, sight) when there is a fire. Below is the story that we put in order.
